PMAY CLAP
What is PMAY CLAP?, As you already know by now that under PMAY Scheme, one gets an interest subsidy on Home Loans. This subsidy is provided by CNAs (Central Nodal Agencies) and PLIs (Primary Lending Institutes). Before the complete digitization of the portal, there was no way for the beneficiaries with the help of which they can check the status of their application.
Only after the release of the subsidy, their
aadhaar validation is done. As the officials used to follow the bunch approach
for application processing, the release of the subsidy used to take a lot of
time, which ultimately resulted in more and more public grievances.
To solve this problem for the applicants,
the Government Has introduced CLSS Awas Portal, which is also known by the name
CLAP. CLAP is a web-based real-time monitoring system developed by the Ministry
of Housing and Urban Affairs.
Well,
CLAP is a common platform for all. From stakeholders to MoHUA, CNAs to PLIs,
Beneficiaries to Citizens, all are integrated into this single platform.
How does PMAY CLAP work?
A
tracking system has been embedded in the CLAP. Tracking is done through unique
IDs provided to all at the time of submission of the application. This ID
remains active till the date of subsidy release. The Aadhaar verification and
de-duplication are done at the time of the submission of the application, which
helps in the quick release of the subsidy.
CLAP is enabled with such a system that
all the applicants are privileged to get SMS alerts at different stages of
their application processing. All the applications submitted on the portal are considered
the individual application and passes through 5 stages: -
1. 1. Generation
of Application ID
2. Due
Diligence by Primary Lending Institutes (PLIs)
3. Uploading
of claim on Central Nodal Agency Portal
4. Approval
of Subsidy Claim
5. Release
of Subsidy to PLI
